Colorado....Part II

After shopping, we went to see Lauren's new place and meet her new dog, Mac. Both were adorable! Amy had class all morning and it was time to go pick her up and get our pedis! This was absolutely my favorite pedicure ever! I've never had a hot stone used in the massage before and the steamed towel wrap was wonderful! Look at these beautiful toes! Great summer colors, don't you think!
Time for dinner. Lauren suggested a place called "Kona Grill". It was packed but we were able to squish into the bar for dinner. I can see why it was so busy, the food was great!
Here is Lisa, Lauren and Amy. I love this picture!
It was a great day with the all the girls!

Friday was supposed to be 100 degrees out. Time to hit the lake! Marty brought Starbucks and hooked up the boat and off we went! (Starbucks is a must in the Snella household!)
Yes, Marty your hat does look perfect right there!
Amy and Shannon claimed their spots on the boat and we were headed out on Horsetooth Lake! Gorgeous views, again!
Marty gave Amy some driving lessons. She did great! She even pulled Marty for some wakeboarding. Shannon and I are great "Flag Girls!"
Marty enjoyed not being in charge of driving for a while.
We stopped for a little swim and cool off time.
Amy was dying to try wakeboarding. Apparently, she had a hard time getting up last year. Not this year! She popped right up every time! She did great!
Marty's turn! He's still a kid at heart!
Just before we left, I snapped this one of the girls.
They are gorgeous and don't even look like there were on the lake all day.
Thanks for taking us out on the boat, Marty! It was the perfect way to spend a hot day! Saturday, Lisa, Shannon and I went to a street fair in nearby Lyons. It was a cute little town and we able to find some cute jewelry and other fun things. When we got back, Shannon got some snuggles from Wyatt. He is a crazy dog but happy dog!We were invited to Lauren and Alex's (Lauren's boyfriend) for a bbq. They were celebrating their new place and Alex's birthday. We met Alex's mom, Jane, and a lot of their friends. I can't believe my camera sat in my purse the whole time! I really need to get back in this blog mode! We enjoyed meeting everyone and my burger was awesome, Alex!

Sunday came way too soon! We had a wonderful time visiting with everyone and hope to go back very soon! I asked Lisa to take a picture of Marty and me. I don't think I have one. This is my favorite picture from the whole trip! I love my family!

Colorado Trip....Part I

I am "resurrecting" my blog and couldn't think of a better way to do it than with our trip to see my brother and his family!

Shannon and I took a quick trip to Longmont, Colorado to visit my brother, Marty, and his family. At the time, we thought 5 days would be a great trip but we decided it was way tooo short. In fact, I think Shannon would have stayed permanently if she could have!

We left on Wednesday and had a little bit of time to kill in the airport. How did we ever manage time before our Iphones?

Marty picked us up when we landed and took us out to see his property and his dogs. He truly loves working out there and his dogs!

He, of course, was teasing Shannon about something and decided they needed to make up so he broke out the "peace pipe"! I think they both look great in this picture!
Annie is one of Marty's dogs...she is a sweetheart!Wyatt is another one...he's an excellent bird hunting dog and very "busy"!Marty doing what he loves to do!Marty took Shannon out on the ATV to run the dogs. Diesel, Molly and Wyatt all ran along. Annie hung out with me. I think she's pretty smart!

After that, he took us to his house in Longmont where Lisa and Amy were waiting. They made a great dinner for us and we enjoyed visiting and getting caught up. Of course, the Cold Stone Creamery treats that Shannon and Amy went after added the perfect ending to our first day there.

Thursday was "girls day". Lisa, Shannon and I met Lauren in Boulder for breakfast and shopping. I would LOVE to live in Boulder some day. It was so charming and beautiful. We ate at a fun little place called Lucille's. It has a "Cajun flavor". I couldn't help but think of my friend, Jackie. She would have loved this place. It just looks like a little house from the outside. We got in right away which guess is very unusual! Here is a piece of art work on the wall.Lauren decided we had to have Beignets as a pre-breakfast treat. Good call, Lauren! They were excellent. I had praline waffles with praline syrup. Oh goodness...yes, I am dieting this week
After we were stuffed, we walked down to Pearl Street Mall. It was a beautiful outdoor mall. I loved it!!
This was a beautiful setting for some pics!

Shannon and me....Lisa and Lauren...The girls and me....I realized too late that I never got a picture of Lisa and me. Shoot! Guess I will have to go back soon!

As you can tell in the pictures, the weather was beautiful. Colorado Part II to follow....
